The Greenwich Reunion

Last weekend I returned from Connecticut and I spent the week catching up on all of the things that I had been falling behind on. It was a much needed break, but now it's time to share some photos!

We had a fantastic time. My flight arrived late Friday night in New York and I was met at the airport by my dad and his cousin to take me back to my aunt and uncle's house in Greenwich. Even though it was late and everyone was tired, it was nice to feel like I was on vacation and to be surrounded by my family. We sat around the bar and talked and drank and had a nice visit.

The next day the rest of the family came to the house and the fun began. Here are some snapshots...

Me and my new godson!

One of my dad's cousins decided he wanted to interview my grandmother and her two brothers about their lives and record it for everyone. I can't wait to watch the DVD and hear them tell stories about growing up in Detroit with Italian immigrant parents. It's going to be absolutely priceless!

More baby love.

My dad taking his cousin's Ferrari for a spin.

Everyone playing around out in the yard.

Taking a dip in the pool.

An amazing meal of steaks and barbecued ribs.

Toasting to my cousin Christine and her fiance.

My favorite food from the weekend. Clams soaked in butter and bacon. NOM.

Wine. Wine, wine, wine, wine, wine!

This picture didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but I wanted to show how many of us there were. I think the final head count was 49. There wasn't a single relative that wasn't able to make it, so our reunion was complete. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

I cannot get over how beautiful Greenwich is! That yard, that house - goodness! I love it! And I absolutely LOVE that photo of you and your godson! So precious. You're so beautiful Lauryn! How wonderful that everyone was able to make it :) I adore your father's expression - boys and their toys! :) I am so thankful for the time you got to spend with your family.
