I'll admit, it's been rather frustrating not being able to show you the wonderful person I've been seeing for the past several months. Due to circumstances beyond our control we were forced to keep things on the down-low, so Mr. Wonderful and I decided to keep our relationship hidden from half of the people we knew. I couldn't even tell you his name!
Secret romances? Not as much fun as you'd think.
Don't get me wrong, things between us have been fantastic, but it's been a bit of a pain not being able to shout it from the rooftops, if you know what I mean. Well, the time has come my friends. The grand unveiling of Mr. Wonderful:
Let's just say our relationship began on a professional level, and while that may have complicated things for a while I wouldn't have had it any other way.
In the past I've experienced your typical deal-breakers: conflicting life plans, a lack of chemistry, and plain old incompatibility. However, for the first time I can honestly say that my relationship is without complication; there is no tragic flaw acting as a hurdle on the way to happiness.
I can't even begin to explain how at ease I've felt these past few months. I'm with someone who shares my goals, challenges me, and knocks my socks off every day that we spend together, which is a combination of experiences I hadn't even realized I'd been missing. He isn't perfect, and Lord knows I'm not either, but his strength, intelligence and sensitivity never cease to amaze me.
A life of love, laughter, challenge, and adventure is ahead of us and I am so incredibly humbled to be a part of it every day.
So there you have it. His name is Jason, and my heart belongs to him.

I've been married over 11 years now to my soul mate. The one thing I've learned being married this long is that some days you will hate your husband. And some days you will love him so much your heart aches. Since we are all imperfect people, you accept the good with the bad. Love is sometimes work, but it is ALWAYS worth it. =)
